ONE of the most colourful characters from Saints recent history has announced his retirement from rugby league.
Nick Fozzard enjoyed two spells at Knowsley Road, becoming a firm fans’ favourite for his full-blooded performances.
The 35-year-old called time on his playing career after suffering a shoulder injury while playing with Championship side Dewsbury.
During his pomp with Saints he won two Challenge Cups and a World Club Challenge and was one of the most-feared front-rowers in Super League.
He will now take on a behind-the-scenes role as Castleford’s commercial director.
