JAMIE Foster says he is desperate to re-establish himself at St Helens as a first-teamer.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Hull FC after enduring a torrid season at Langtree Park.
But he believes he will return from his spell on Humberside with a drastically altered mind-set.
“I’ve worked hard behind the scenes, quietened things down and kind of screwed my head on,” he said. “I want to be involved in St Helens’ big games towards the end of the year, that’s been keeping me going.”
And Foster, one of Super League’s best goalkickers, booting 402 points in 32 games during 2011, insisted he will return to Langtree Park a changed man.
“I’m playing a few games and my form’s been pretty decent, it’s picked my confidence up and hopefully looking at the bigger picture it leads to me coming back to Saints in a couple of weeks time,” he said.
“I’m a lot thicker-skinned, I feel like I’ve improved big parts of my game and hopefully I can get back in the Saints team and showcase that to the fans.”
