SAINTS were yesterday morning still in the dark over the long-term future of England international Kyle Eastmond.
The 21-year-old scrum-half is still to answer the million dollar question: Is he set to switch codes when his existing contract expires at the end of engage Super League XVI?
Aviva Premiership outfit Bath have offered him a lucrative deal to join the 15-a-side code, but I understand Saints have also put an equally attractive package in front of him.
Head coach Royce Simmons said: “We would certainly like to keep Kyle because he brings lot of quality to the side and are doing everything we can in this direction.
“But if decides to go, we will just get on with life and bring someone else through or chase another half back Hopefully it will be sorted out this week.”
Bath coach Steve Meehan said: “If Kyle joins us, we have a track record of being able to help players switch from league to union as good as anyone.
“However, there are a great deal of factors which he needs to take into account, including being happy with his final decision.”
