At The Range store in St Helens, customers can have two hours free parking - but only if they stay in the store (or in their car on the car park) for the duration.
On Sunday, March 2, my wife and I parked at the store at 10.30am; we purchased a range of goods - the recipe is timed at 10.45am. We left the car park to go at a nearby cash machine, returning at 10.55am to discover a PCN (from care Parking of Chester) which was timed at 10.47am.
The two operatives had watched us leave the car park and then issued the PCN: how satisfied they must have been with themselves.
We wonder how many other unsuspecting shoppers have suffered a similar fate?
So, shoppers beware lest these sharks catch you out!
