Woman hurt in car crash

A woman had to be given oxygen after a car crash which flipped a vehicle onto its roof.

Emergency crews were called to Warrington Road in Prescot shortly before 2.30pm on Sunday (November 10).

A woman in her 50s, who was out of the overturned car by the time firefighters arrived, was given oxygen at the scene before the paramedics arrived.

She was then taken to Whiston Hospital for further treatment.

Firefighters from Whiston and Huyton remained at the scene until 3.12pm.
