Woman admits sending racially abusive texts

A woman has admitted a charge of sending a series of racially abusive texts.

Nicola Melia alleged sent the “indecent or grossly offensive” messages to Chantelle Davies.

The offensive is said to have taken place on April 2 at Elston Avenue, Newton-le-Willows.

Melia, of Grasmere Avenue, Warrington, pleaded guilty to the charge.

The 36-year-old was remanded on bail to await a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
