Woman, 50, attacked by three women in St Helens town centre

A 50-year-old woman was suffered a broken nose and broken ribs after she was set upon by three other women in St Helens town centre.

Police say the victim was enjoying a quiet evening out when she was attacked in an unprovoked assault.

The attack - described by detectives as “brutal” - happened at around 6pm on Wednesday, June 15.

The victim was attacked as she left the Ice Bar at around 6pm.

She is currently undergoing further medical investigations to establish the full extent of her injuries.

Det Con Tracy Awbery, from St Helens CID, said: “The victim was enjoying a quiet night out with a friend when she was attacked in an unprovoked assault.

“To be met with such brutal violence has left her shocked and in pain. We are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.”
