A woman from Clock Face who stole two joints of beef and a man who attacked a police are among those in today’s week in court feature.

Alex Mower, (20), Frodsham Drive, St Helens: assault by beating - 12 months community order, £100 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, £320 costs.

Daniel Saunders, (39), Carnegie Crescent, St Helens: stole two bottles of spirits to the value of £40 from Co-op Late Shop, received stolen goods belonging to Arriva North West - eight weeks jail suspended for 12 months, £80 victim surcharge, £50 costs.

David James Meadows, (44), Frodsham Drive, St Helens: assault by beating - 14 days curfew order, £50 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, £300 costs.

Stephen Damien Ashton, (30), St Paul Street, St Helens: entered a building as a trespasser and stole cash - 30 days community order, £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £180 court costs.

Garry Joseph Killilea, (45), Reynolds Avenue, St Helens: assaulted a police officer in the execution of his duty, were in charge of a large Staffordshire type dog which was dangerously out of control - eight weeks curfew order, £100 compensation, £60 victim surcharge, £85 costs, £150 court charge, order that dog should be chipped and insured and kept muzzled and on a lead when in a public place.
