A man who was caught in possession of 10 wraps of diamorphine and 10 wraps of crack cocaine is among those appearing before magistrates in St Helens.

David Allan Smith (50): Salisbury House, Phoenix Brow, St Helens - Interfered with a motor vehicle, stole £15 belonging to Rebecca Cozens, commission of an offence while a suspended sentence in place: Jailed for 16 weeks, victim surcharge of £80, £50 compensation, £180 criminal courts charge.

Carl Frederick Starr (48): Carnegie Crescent, St Helens - Stole a Benson guitar worth £49 from the Hope Centre on two occasions, commission of an offence while a suspended sentence in place: Jailed for 16 weeks, £49 compensation, £80 victim surcharge.

Kevin Anthony Barrett (44): Norman Salisbury Court, St Helens - possession of 10 wraps of diamorphine and 10 wraps of crack cocaine: £130 fine, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, £180 criminal courts charge.

Andrew Magennis (53): O’Brien Grove, St Helens - Damaged a window of a home on O’Brien Grove belonging to Helena Housing: Conditional discharge for six months, £75 compensation, £15 victim surcharge, £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, £150 criminal courts charge.
