SAINTS believe their first match at Langtree Park will go ahead despite storm damage to the roof of their new stadium.
Gale force winds tore off a section of roofing on Tuesday as gusts of up to 60mph ripped through much of the country.
They are due to play their first ever game at the ground against Widnes Vikings on January 20 - just 15 days way.
A club spokesman said: “Contractors accessed the site as soon as weather conditions allowed and they have now taken steps to make the roof safe.
“Work will continue to repair the roof to the highest standard and the programme of events in the run-up to the first match on 20 January against Widnes will continue as planned.”
