EVERY parent wants their child to reach their full potential.

And the Prescot Kumon centre is remaining open so they have the chance to do just that!

Kumon is one of the country’s leading after-school education providers, with four million students worldwide and a record of excellence in maths and English.

They can help your child to excel in these subjects, simultaneously boosting their confidence in all areas of life.

The Prescot study centre has been open since 1997 and has helped hundreds of students who have passed through its doors in developing their maths ability and potential.

Many of these students have gone on to the higher levels of the programmes and have even begun studying above their school level.

Claire Edwards, who has recently taken over the study centre, said: “Kumon offers individualised study programmes designed to help children of all ages and abilities fulfil their potential in maths and English.

“Rather than offering a ‘quick-fix’, we provide a long-term solution that will boost their self-confidence whilst developing skills to last a lifetime. I firmly believe in the Kumon Method of learning.”

Kay Cathcart, mother of long term student, Melissa Cathcart said: “I am so happy that the Kumon study centre is staying open here as it has helped Melissa so much with her maths.

“She started Kumon in year five where she was constantly at the help desk and her confidence was low.

“Now she is about to sit the higher level GCSE maths paper. I would recommend Kumon to everyone.”

The Prescot Kumon centre was taken over at the beginning of January and the classes which are drop-in sessions run on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3.30pm – 5.30pm. The class is located in Our Lady’s Church Hall on Portico Lane.
