A little piece of history was celebrated when a specially designed garden celebrating St Helens’ twinning agreement with Stuttgart was opened by dignitaries from both authorities.

St Helens was the first British town to enter into a twinning agreement with Germany after the Second World War when the deal was signed in 1948. The garden design celebrates Stuttgart’s history and St Helens role in helping to rebuild destroyed areas of the German city.
