Officers probe ‘domestic disturbance’

FOUR police cars were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in St Helens last night (Wednesday).

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Gleave Street, near College Street, at about 11.40pm.

On arrival, paramedics discovered that a woman in a 30s had suffered a facial injury and a man, also in his 30s, had suffered a head injury.

Both were taken to hospital for precautionary treatment.

An investigation is now underway in a bid to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
