THREE St Helens teenagers are set to jet off to the US this summer to work at Camp America.
James Mellen, Elys Jones and Anthony Trantum, all aged 19, are all set to cross the pond this summer and explore everything the USA has to offer.
The trio each secured their coveted places following the Camp America recruitment fairs held in London last month.
University of Central London (UCL) students James and Elys will both be working at Merryheart in New Jersey - as general camp staff and special needs assistants, respectively.
Anthony, who is currently studying media at Manchester College, will be spending the summer working at Frenchwoods in New York as set production.
James is currently studying journalism at the UCL and Elys is studying care in the community.
Camp America offers British youngsters the opportunity to spend a summer in the US every year to work at camps for young people across the country.
Each of the St Helens trio will no doubt be hoping that the trip will serve to enhance their studies back home.
A spokesman for Camp America said: “The youngsters are delighted with their placement and are really looking forward to travelling in the US.
