THE Mayor and Mayoress of St Helens were among 400 visitors to the transport museum’s fun day on Sunday (September 23).
Coun Geoff Almond and his wife Jean spent more than an hour enjoying the atmosphere at the North West Museum of Road Transport on Hall Street.
Festivities included line dancing, free bus rides, face painting and a chance to meet Thomas the Tank Engine and Bertie the Bus.
The museum was even visited by a group of sightseers from Hong Kong, who popped in on their way to Liverpool.
Look out for a special overnight ghost hunt at the transport museum in November too.
