A man who was caught with a disgusting collection of child porn on his computer at a house in St Helens is to be sentenced.

Alan Houghton, 51, admitted two counts of possessing indecent images of children when he appeared at St Helens Magistrates’ Court.

Houghton, of Grimshaw Street, Golborne, was remanded on conditional bail for sentencing next month.

JPs heard police found category B indecent videos of children at the house on Broadway, Eccleston, in April this year.

As part of his bail conditions, Houghton is banned from using the internet unless the device can retain and display a history of internet use and it is made available to police.
