A MOTORIST has admitted making off without paying after filling up his vehicle with more than £70 worth of fuel.

Stephen Pagett, 38, was identified by police from CCTV stills after filling up his Mazda with diesel at the Tesco garage on Church Road, Haydock, on May 6 and simply driving off.

Pagett, of Eagle Mount, Warrington, entered a guilty plea before St Helens Magistrates’ Court on Friday (June 17) and is set to be sentenced by Warrington Magistrates on July 6.
