A CAR crashed into a bungalow in St Helens.
Emergency crews were called out to Perth Avenue in Thatto Heath last Thursday evening (April 19) after a car ploughed into the front of a bungalow.
Luckily, nobody was trapped in either the car or the building when firefighters arrived shortly before 9pm.
Eccleston Fire Station watch manager Alan Moore said: “The building was not in any danger of collapsing. The front and side of the property had been pushed in by about six inches underneath the front window and there was also damage inside.
“The occupants heard an explosion but fortunately they were at the rear of the property. The occupants will need to be re-housed.”
Police also attended the call-out and a structural engineer was requested to assess the building.
Firefighters had left the scene by 9.38pm.
