TOWN crier Barry McQueen (pictured) left nobody in any doubt that a family fun day at Earlestown Market was officially open!
Mr McQueen opened proceeding with a flourish as entertainers helped showcase the range of local and regional goods available at the market.
A clown double act, face painting and a Punch and Judy show were just some of the attractions for young and old alike to enjoy.
Back by popular demand, the fun day saw radio station Wish FM broadcasting live from the event, which also featured a competition to win a £50 voucher to spend at the market.
The event was supported by Earlestown Market traders and St Helens Council’s Be Local Buy Local campaign.
Deputy council leader Barrie Grunewald said: “The range and selection of local and regional produce available at the market is constantly growing with traders providing quality goods at exceptionally low prices.
“The family fun day last year was a huge success and was back by popular demand.”
