Tree rescue

A TEENAGE boy had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck up a tree.

Crews from Newton-le-Willows Fire Station were called to Catherine Way, Newton, shortly after 4.15pm yesterday (Thursday, June 14).

They used a triple extension ladder to help rescue a 13-year-old boy, who was stuck up a tree.

The boy, who was unharmed, was back at ground level by 4.36pm.
