TWO breakdancing brothers from St Helens have been raking in the awards.

St Anne’s Primary School pupils Charlie and Alfie Owen, aged nine and seven (pictured), have both excelled in solo routines and in mirrored routines as a duo.

Their mum, Stacey, 32, from Sutton, said: “Charlie started breakdancing when he was six. We wanted an outlet for all his energy and found that via the UC Crew at Queens Park.

“Alfie then started breakdancing when he was five and neither of them have looked back since. Alfie was recently crowned the under eight dance star.”

She added: “They both love breakdancing more than just street dancing – probably because it’s a bit more dangerous – and both train at Queens Park and at Sutton High.

“We’re going on holiday to Florida later this year and they’re even going to have a breakdance battle over there too.”
