Rail police are well on track
Transport police say crime on the local railway network has dropped for the fifth year running.
Chief Superintendent Peter Holden, of the British Transport Police, detailed a five per cent reduction.
He said: "The figures are extremely pleasing as, yet again, we have seen a drop in the number of crimes – and therefore the number of victims of crime.
"I'm particularly pleased to see reductions in robbery for the third year in succession."
