Man injured in m’way crash

A MAN was hospitalised after a high-speed crash on a St Helens stretch of motorway.

Emergency crews were called to junction 6 of the westbound M62 shortly after 2pm on Saturday (April 21) following a one-car crash.

The vehicle was on the motorway embankment by the time they arrived at the scene.

The male driver, 48, was examined by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital but his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
