A man found hanged in a St Helens beauty spot has been named as 26-year-old Bryan Stubbs.
Mr Stubbs’ body was discovered by a member of the public on Sunday, May 11 at Sankey Valley Country Park.
Police and paramedics were called to Havannah Lane, Parr, shortly after 5.50pm but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem will now take place to establish the cause of death, however, officers say there are no suspicious circumstances.
The man’s next of kin has been informed and an inquest was opened and adjourned last week by St Helens coroner Christopher Sumner.
Coroner’s officers say Mr Stubbs, of fixed no abode, was single.
His family, they say, are all believed to live in the Wigan area.
A full inquest will be heard at a later date.
