Man accused of attempted murder at Christmas party
A MAN has been charged with attempting to murder three people at a Christmas party.
Connor Tarbrooke, 20, stands accused of the attempted murder of two women and a man at a house party in Newton-le-Willows shortly before midnight on December 27.
A police spokesman confirmed that the two women, both in their early 20s, sustained “slash injuries” to their necks.
One of the women was initially described as being in a “serious but stable” condition in hospital, but has since been discharged.
Police said the other was treated for “non-serious injuries”.
Tarbrooke stands accused of three separate counts of attempted murder and a further charge that he attempted to commit arson and destroy a property in Lloyd Crescent, Newton - intending to endanger the life of a woman.
The defendant, of Bank Street, Newton-le-Willows, was remanded in custody by St Helens Magistrates until April 8, when he is due to appear before Liverpool Crown court for a plea and case management hearing.
