A St Helens hairdresser has been selected to style the stars backstage at this weekend’s Parklife Weekender music festival.
Former St Helens College student Helen Sheron, 22, will be part of a select team styling the likes of Snoop Dogg, Bastille, Disclosure and Annie Mac at Heaton Park.
Her mentor Lynne Webster, the owner of Shimmers Hair Salon in Boundary Road, said: “Helen is a very talented girl. The experience of working backstage at a festival is amazing.
“I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience for her - especially as she has an AAA pass to go and socialise with the stars when her shift has finished. She must be the envy of any festival goer.”
Helen, of Windermere Avenue, Moss Bank, was chosen to work backstage as part of Tigi’s annual competition to find the country’s best young stylists.
The judges were blown away by her work on a photoshoot for the Professional Hairdresser magazine and were quick to snap her up as part of the final 11.
Helen said: “I am so lucky to have a manager like Lynne. She helps give me opportunities I could only have dreamed of and I love it.
“After Parklife festival I will be straight on to my next photo shoot to enable me to compete in the British Hairdressing Awards in the newcomer category.”
