Girl rescued after getting arm stuck in letterbox

A TEENAGE girl got her arm stuck in a letterbox after she realised she was locked out of her house.

Crews from Eccleston Fire Station were called to Barton Close, near the town centre Asda store, shortly before 12.15pm on Wednesday (April 18).

A teenage girl had got her arm stuck in the letterbox as she tried to reach inside to retrieve her keys, which were in the lock on the other side of the door.

Firefighters used washing up liquid to free the girl’s arm and she was taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up.

Police and paramedics also attended the scene.
