Brazen thieves stole three forklift trucks from a warehouse in St Helens.

Detectives believe the raid took place some time between Monday, June 16 and 17.

Police were called to the recycling firm Viridor on Lancots Lane at around 3.55pm on Tuesday, June 17, by a member of staff reporting that offenders had gained entry to a warehouse and stolen three fork-lift trucks.

The trucks were being stored in the warehouse and are believed to be worth approximately £10,000.

Det Con Andy Passey, St Helens CID, said: “The fork-lifts are quite large vehicles and we believe someone may have seen them being taken along Lancots Lane or possibly on Robins Lane.

“As part of the appeal we have issued photographs of vehicles similar to the two types which were stolen.

“If people have seen any similar vehicles or think they may be being stored somewhere in their area, I would appeal to them to get in touch with us.

“We will act on all the information we receive.”

Details of the trucks which were stolen are: TCM model FD40T9 (serial number 1752), TCM model FD40T9 (serial number 1757), and Komatsu model FD30 (serial number 42273).
