YOUNGSTER Adam Reeves and his mum Michelle scooped family passes for Cineworld and the World of Glass after winning this year’s Summer Fun guide prize draw.
Michelle, from Haresfinch took time to fill in a feedback form seeking views from the public about the brochure and events.
There were 2022 free summer leisure activities on offer in St Helens.
orts, play, outdoor educational events, a portable skatepark and brunch clubs. The transfer of the play section has also meant that activities could be extended to 5 to 18 year olds.
Now that success is due to be repeated as the services launches its October half term fun package. Activities include: Brunch clubs, arts and baking sessions, canoeing, kayaking, four community ‘Fright Nights’ plus the ever popular skate park at Derbyshire Hill Youth Centre on October 24.

Councillor Alison Bacon, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services said: “The number of young people attending the summer events is higher than ever before, partly due to the Summer Fun leaflet that was issued and other publicity.
“Such was the success that two parents actually contacted a local radio station praising the council for its wide range of free activities. They said this was a great support for those who were struggling financially to keep children and young people occupied.”
