Eccleston Social Club to close

PILKINGTON Glass have announced plans to shut Eccleston Social Club.

The company said today (Wednesday) the Knowsley Road club would cease to operate after November 16.

It follows the decision to the sell the land around the club.

A spokesman for Pilkington said discussions were underway with affected staff and club members would shortly receive letters outlining the decision.
