Crews tackle bedroom fire
FIREFIGHTERS tackled an early hours bedroom blaze.
Crews from Parr Stocks were called to a semi-detached house on Bidston Way, Blackbrook, shortly before 2am last Monday (April 9).
Three people were inside the property when the fire broke out but, fortunately, they all got themselves quickly out of the house when smoke alarms activated.
The blaze was extinguished by 2.38am, but about a quarter of the first floor bedroom was left severely damaged by heat and smoke. The remainder of the first floor was also left smoke damaged.
Crews from Parr Stocks Fire Station remained at the scene until about 3am.
