Reporter journalist Chris Amery at St Helens Central Library.

From next week Reporter journalist Chris Amery will be based at St Helens Central Library every Wednesday (from May 28 onwards).

He’ll be easy to spot too - just head straight on after going through the main entrance doors!

Readers will be able to speak to Chris in person between 10am and 4pm every Wednesday. Alternatively, you can contact him all week long on 07860 530826 or via e-mail at: chris.amery@jpress.co.uk

Any readers who wish to drop off news items, letters, what’s on snippets or old photos can do so throughout the week too - not just on Wednesdays.

Simply leave your item in the Reporter’s folder behind the main library desk.

Chris will also be based at the Citadel Arts Centre between 10am and 4pm every Tuesday. Feel free to drop in and speak to him there if Tuesdays suit you better.

The St Helens Reporter is changing... and it is going to bring us closer you, our readers.

For more than 150 years, we’ve been at the very heartbeat of St Helens life. We’ve chronicled the highs and the lows, reporting from every district and every street.

From May 26, we’ll no longer be an office-bound news organisation. Instead, our roving journalists will spend their days out and about investigating the issues that really matter to St Helens.

We’ll be interviewing, reporting and filing news stories from out on the beat.

We’ll still be bringing you the same unrivalled package of news, sport and features in paper every Wednesday and online 24/7 on our website or on Facebook and Twitter.

And it has never been easier to get in touch with either our news or advertising teams.

For the many folk who prefer to pick up their weekly St Helens Reporter in person from our Claughton Street office, we’ve made it easier than ever. The Reporter is now on sale in a growing number of outlets across the borough.

Anyone wishing to place a birth, death or marriage advertisement will be able to take advantage of our free online service or speak directly to one our operators.
