BREAKING NEWS: Man who murdered his best mate jailed for life
Shooting victim Christopher Honnor
THE killer of father of two Christopher Honnor has been jailed for life.
Christoper Strettle, 44, who had been the best man at Mr Honnor’s wedding, was today sentenced to a minimum term of 26 years behind bars.
Strettle’s wife, Lesley, 41, was sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison after she disposed of the murder weapon and, like her husband, gave false and misleading accounts to the police.
Although she insisted that she had disposed of the gun in Taylor Park’s boating lake, it has never been recovered.
Mr Honnor, of Warrington Road, Whiston, suffered fatal injuries when he was shot in the chest by Strettle on the morning of October 13 last year.

Moments earlier Strettle had said he would evict Mr Honnor from his rented flat amid complaints about loud.
