Police are trying to trace cash, electrical items and two distinctive pedal cycles stolen during a burglary in Rainhill last week.
Last Wednesday (April 23) a report was received that a property on Longton Lane had been burgled.
Among the items taken from the property and the shed was a Sony Vaio laptop an Apple i-Pad 4, an i-Phone 5, cash and two pedal cycles - a Pinarello Dogma Hard Tail and a Bianchi Hard Tail.
It is thought the burglary occurred sometime that morning while the occupiers were out.
DC Roy Waller, of St Helens CID, said: “I ask members of the public to be on the lookout in case they are offered such items for sale, on the street, in a pawnbrokers or in a pub.
“I would also appeal for people to cast their minds back to last Wednesday and if they saw anything that in hindsight seems suspicious, to contact us with that information.
“Information that seems trivial to them may turn out to be crucial for us in catching the offenders.”
Anyone with information can call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 6842 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
