20 arrested following massive drugs raid

DETECTIVES have arrested 20 people in St Helens following a series of drugs raids yesterday (Thursday).

Sixteen of those arrested with were charged with drugs offrences and appeared at magistrates court in Huyton on Friday morning.

Officers raided addresses in St Helens, Newton-le-Willows and Warrington.

A 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman from St Helens have been bailed pending further enquiries. Two men aged 19 and 24 of no fixed abode have been released without charge.

Those charged are:

Paul Garry, aged 44, of Heald Street, Newton-le-Willows with the supply of Class A drugs

Kenneth Barry McColl, aged 40, of Chancery Lane, St Helens with the supply of Class A drugs

John Paul Lamb, aged 31, of Vincent Street, St Helens with the supply of Class A drugs

Steven Naylor, aged 31, of no fixed abode, with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, Class B drugs and possession with intent to supply drugs

Lee Steven Murray, aged 26, of Bank Street, Newton-le-Willows with the supply of Class A drugs

Bernadette Louise Davies, aged 40, of Heald Street, Newton-le-Willows with the supply of Class A drugs

Lee Sedgewick, aged 36, of Heald Street, Newton-le-Willows, with the supply of Class A drugs

Gary Anthony Walsh, aged 34, of Sefton Street, Newton-le-Willows, with the supply of Class A drugs

Tracy Lee Augusta, aged 46, of Crow Lane West, Newton-le-Willows with the supply of Class A drugs

Paul Simon Temple, aged 42, of Newton Road, St Helens, with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs

Dean Eric Bamber, aged 37, of Derbyshire Hill Road, St Helens with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs

Darren Hill, aged 42, of Winter Grove, St Helens, with the supply of Class A drugs

Antony Wayne Simpson, aged 37, of Thackery Road, St Helens with conspiracy to supply of Class A drugs

James Carney, aged 42, of Gamble Avenue, St Helens with conspiracy to supply of Class A drugs

Ian McCormick, aged 35, of Dodd Avenue, St Helens with the supply of Class A drugs

Simon Michael McCardle, aged 37, of Oxmead Close, Padgate, Warrington with the supply of Class A drugs.
