Mental health chiefs served afternoon tea to their hospital patients to mark Nutrition and Hydration Week 2014.

Members of the senior management team pushed tea trolleys around every single ward across the 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - handing out drinks to help keep patients hydrated.

Modern matrons Cath Borrows and Ian Mountain, and director of corporate services Nick Rowe served tea to patients at the St Helens Hope and Recovery Centre at Peasley Cross and Knowsley Resource and Recovery Centre at Whiston Hospital.

“It’s especially important that people who are unwell have the fluids and nutrition they need to look after their physical and mental wellbeing,” said Simon Barber, chief executive of the trust.
