A BRIDE who stole almost £200,000 from her bosses to fund a lavish wedding has been jailed for 20 months.
Part-time accounts assistant Kirsty Lane, 29, from Adlington, near Chorley, channelled funds from her employer, Pure Audio Visual Ltd, based in Leyland, into her own bank account.
Her fraud was uncovered just days after she married Graham Lane, 36, near Blackpool last year.
She previously pleaded guilty to the theft and was sentenced to 20 months in prison today at Preston Crown Court.
The couple married in a lavish celebration at The Great Hall at Mains, in which bridesmaids were given jewel encrusted iPods and guests were entertained by a harpist, saxophonist and swing singer.
A firework display spelled out the couple’s initial’s during the evening.
Mr Lane was cleared of any involvement last month after a trial at Preston Crown Court. He was accused of converting more than £70,000 of criminal cash that his wife had stolen.
