GREEN fingered pupils from St Mary’s Infant School at Blackbrook have been braving the weather to create two new wildlife habitats at the Sankey Valley Heritage Centre.

The project, with St.Helens Council’s ranger service, saw tree and wildflower planting in the outside classroom area of the site.

The Mersey Forest provided the trees and it is hoped that the new planting will help to encourage more wildlife to visit the area over the coming years.

The Heritage Visitor’s Centre is open to every Saturday.
