SANKEY Valley Country Park is set to stage a weekend for art and nature lovers.

The event will kick off with an exhibition by local artist Maria Hamilton on Saturday (June 18) between 11am and 4pmin the heritage centre - situated behind the Ship Inn Pub on Blackbrook Road St Helens.

On the same night there will be a bat and moth night, starting at 9pm.

A late evening event which aims to record as many bat and moth species as possible.

The following day there will be a moth morning starting at 11am and meeting at Sankey Valley Country Park Heritage Centre on Blackbrook Road.

This even is a unique chance to view and photograph a variety of moth species caught during the previous night’s trapping.
