Top British rock band Funeral For A Friend are set to play at the Citadel next month.
The boys from South Wales are undoubtedly one of the best UK rock bands to emerge in the 21st century.
Formed in 2001, the band rose to prominence following the release of the 2003 full-length debut album Casually Dressed and Deep In Conversation, which is widely regarded as one of the best punk albums of the early 2000s.
Later albums Hours (2005) and Tales Don’t Tell Themselves (2007) saw a movement away from metal and hardcore towards more melodic rock but more recent albums Welcome Home Armageddon (2011) and Conduit (2013) have seen the band return to the metal and hardcore influences of their earlier work.
Now on their sixth studio album, this is a great opportunity to get up close to the band perform at the intimate Waterloo Street venue on Saturday, September 13.
Funeral For A Friend are one of the biggest names to play in St Helens in recent years, so you’ll need book early to avoid disappointment.
Local band Cenacle will provide support at what should be a very special evening of great music.
