REPORTER reader Mel Moran can name every single player on this 1960s St Cuthbert’s football team shot.
But there are a few gaps in his memory regarding the photo of the St Vincent De Paul football team from 1964-65.
The St Cuthbert’s players pictured in quartered shirts on the back row are John McCormick, John Briers, Bernie Owen, Graham Conway, Mel Moran and Ken Halsall.
And on the front row is Jimmy Crehan, Graham Heyes, George Sheen, Ian McCue, Bernie Smith, Billy McKeenan.
The all-conquering side was undefeated for four years before finally succumbing 2-0 to Litherland in the 1968-69 season.
Mr Moran needs some help identifying the third, fifth and sixth players on the back row of the St Vincent De Paul photo, as well as the player on the far right of the middle row and the players on the far left and right of the front row.
The names he knows on the back row are John Kelly, Dave Frazer, Ian McCue and Arthur Bamber.
On the middle row is Jimmy McNamee, Paul Brunskill, Tony Cliff, Mel Moran, Jimmy Crehan and John Briers.
And on the front row is Ken Halsall, Dave Powell, George Sheen and Tony Paladino.
