Firebugs torch car in Peasley Cross

Firefighters were called after arsonists torched a car in Peasley Cross.

Two fire engines were dispatched to Irwin Road just after 9.10pm last night (June 22).

A brigade spokesman said: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the car fire and dampened down the front of the house using hose reels.

“Crews remained at the scene for around 25 minutes. The cause of the fire is suspected to be deliberate ignition.”
