Are you unsure about when to put out your bin during the Bank Holiday week?

Well, don’t be! That’s the message from officials at St Helens Council, who have drastically simplified the way collections operate after the August public holiday.

All collections will take place one day later than usual during the week starting August 31, with Friday pick-ups now scheduled for Saturday.

A town hall spokesman said: “It’s important that you use all the services during these weeks to avoid a build-up of recycling and waste and to allow for a smooth collection in the following weeks.

“Look out for your new collection calendar which will be delivered within the first two weeks of September.
