Detectives have issued CCTV images of two men they want to speak to after a burglary.

Two men entered the Pied Bull public house, on High Street, Newton, at around 10am on Sunday, June 25.

I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the High Street who saw anyone acting suspiciously or anyone who recognises either of the two men in the CCTV images to come forward

Det Insp Louise Birchall

One of the men caused a disturbance in the pub while the second man went into an office and stole cash.

Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe could assist with the investigation.

Det Insp Louise Birchall said: “We believe one of the men distracted staff by shouting about damage to a car in the car park while the second man went into the office and stole the cash.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the High Street who saw anyone acting suspiciously or anyone who recognises either of the two men in the CCTV images to come forward.”
