A ST Helens Rugby League player is to go on trial for a string of driving offences.
Scott Moore, 23, of Ranworth Drive, Lowton, was due to go on trial at Wigan Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday for drink driving and driving whilst disqualified.
He was also charged with failing to stop after an accident and not reporting the matter.
The alleged offences took place on June 10 this year.
He was released on unconditional bail as the trial was adjourned until November 28.
Moore finished with Saints three weeks ago and will play For Widnes Vikings next season.
He becone the youngsters to appear in Super League when as a 16-year-old he played for Saints against Wigan before going to a spell as Huddersfield Giants.
