Computer and tablets stolen during early morning raid

Detectives are hunting a thief who broke into a house in Old Eccleston and stole a handbag and two computer tablets.

Officers believe the crook struck at an address in Hewitt Avenue some time between 2.30am and 6am on Sunday, March 6.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "At around 9.15am, a report was received that unknown offenders entered the property through a back door and took a handbag and two computer tablets."

Forensic tests are being carried out at the scene.
