THURSDAY, APRIL 25: St Peter’s Church in Parr will be holding a coffee morning between 10am and noon in Memorial Hall, Broad Oak Road.

THURSDAY, APRIL 25: Our Lady’s Portico church hall will hold a fair with stalls and refreshments in aid of World Malaria Day.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26: West Street Independent Methodist Church in Thatto Heath will be holding a rummage sale from 6.30pm in the church hall. Admission costs 20p.

SATURDAY APRIL 27 - The New Street Singers are presenting a concert ‘You Can Smile’ at the

New Street Methodist Church Hall. Come along and enjoy a relaxed evening of musical entertainment. Admission costs £5 and includes light refreshments. The concert starts at 7pm.

SUNDAY, APRIL 28: The Mayor and Mayoress Canon Councillor Geoff and Jean Almond are attending a

Celebration Service of thanksgiving for their mayoral year at 10.30am at St Helens Parish Church. The preacher will be the Bishop of Warrington the Right Reverend Richard Blackburn.

The Parish School Church School Choir will also be attending. Refreshments will follow the service at the back of the church.

EVERY TUESDAY: St Helens Parish Church holds an informal, short worship service starting at 12.30pm.

TUESDAYS: Trinity Church in Longtons Lane, Rainhill, runs a club for everyone on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 10.30am. Table Talk is designed for people to meet in pleasant and comfortable surroundings.

EVERY TUESDAY: The New Street Singers meet between 7.30pm and 9.30pm. New members are always welcome.
