Friday, June 24: St Therasa’s in Sutton Manor will be holding a summer gala at the primary school in Cannon Street, starting at 3pm. There will be stalls with toys, books and CDs. Refreshments available.
Friday, June 24: West Street Independent Methodist Church will be holding a rummage sale from 6.30pm in the church hall. Admission costs 20p.
Saturday, June 25: English Martyrs, Haydock, will be holding their summer fayre on the school playground in Chapel Street. This will take place between noon and 4pm and there will be plenty of stalls, raffles, entertainment and refreshments.
Thursday, June 30: A concert to raise funds for Peasley Cross United Reform Church will be held on 7.30pm at Toll Bar with Prescot URC, Freckleton Road, Tickets are priced £5 and are available by calling Helen from the church on 01744 756032.
Saturday July 2: St Mark’s, St Helens and St Thomas, Eccleston, are holding a strawberry fayre at the Gamble Hall field, Bishop Road, St Helens. St Thomas CofE Primary School and the two churches’ youth organizations are all taking part in a traditional church fete, which will take place from 2pm to 4pm.
Saturday, July 2: West Street Independent Methodist Church will be holding its annual walk of witness from 2pm, followed by a field day at 3pm. Parr Band will lead the walk and will also play in the grounds during the field day. There will also be stalls with prizes, a barbeque, cake stall and a bring and buy. All welcome.
Sunday, July 3: St Julie’s Church in Eccleston hold a summer gala from 1.30pm. More details from 605604.
Sunday, July 3: Corpus Christi Primary School in Rainford will hold a summer gala day.
Friday, July 8: Music for a Summer Evening will be given in St Nicholas Church, Sutton, from 7.30pm. The concert is being given by the junior members of the choir and will be a mixture of religious and secular music. Everyone is welcome to come and listen to them. Light refreshments will be provided and there will be a retiring collection for church funds
