A RAINFORD dad-of-two has been appointed president of a leading industry body.
Paul Christian (pictured) will take the reins at the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants’ (LSCA).
An assurance director at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, the 52-year-old will represent the group’s 4,099 members from across the region.
The LSCA is the longest-established group of its kind in the country.
Mr Christian will oversee the society’s events and services as well as representing the interests of chartered accountants.
He said: “It is a real honour to able to represent the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants.”
Rainford born and bred, Mr Christian attended Rainford High before studying engineering at Liverpool University where he emerged with a first class degree and embarked on a successful accounting career.
He still lives in Rainford with his wife of 27 years, Anne. The couple have two children; Rebecca, 21, and 19-year-old David.
