A HEARTBROKEN husband whose wife died suddenly says he has lost “the rock” in his life.
Grandmother-of-three Glennis Jones passed away in the early hours of November 5, aged just 56.
Her husband, George, 43, of Clock Face, told how she had looked a picture of health at his son’s wedding in August but had started to become weaker from that moment on.
He said: “My wife was my rock. My life has been turned upside down. I will never be the same again. We had been together for 18 years.
“Glennis was perfectly happy during the day on my son’s wedding day but later on, after the meal, she had to go home.
“She’d undergone a triple heart bypass operation a couple of years earlier after collapsing in the kitchen.
“She then had more surgery at Broad Green, which we were told was a success, but she kept worrying about it and was diagnosed with suffering from panic attacks.
“She was a very strong lady but I could see she was getting weaker.”
Mrs Jones, who was also treated at Whiston Hospital, succumbed to her deteriorating health on November 5.
The exact cause of death is not yet known.
Her funeral was held at All Saints Church, near St Helens Junction, last Monday afternoon (November 12).
Mr Jones added: “I will miss her making us all laugh. I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the staff at Bright House in St Helens too.
“They kindly agreed to wipe off all the credit we’d been given with no questions asked. It was a lovely gesture.”
